What are Tiffinware.com’s products made of?
Tiffinware.com has two hand crafted product ranges: Silver plate; products are an alloy of brass (copper and zinc) and nickel (a white metal, resistant to corrosion), also known as German silver. They are then electro-plated with 3 micron silver and embellished with glass beads.
Stainless steel or Inox - "inoxydable" (stainless) steel is an ideal material for making cutlery, as it is very durable, does not rust, corrode or stain. Tiffinware Inox - ‘With a Twist’ products are made from the highest quality 18/10 stainless steel, these products will retain their bright sheen without too much care.

Are Tiffinware.com’s products made in factories?
No. Each piece is hand crafted and therefore unique. Each Tiffinware.com product undergoes a series of grinding, buffing, plating and polishing techniques during manufacture, and variations or ‘imperfections’ in the finish are a characteristic of the creating process. Due to their handmade nature no two pieces are exactly alike.

How do I care for my Tiffinware?
Tiffinware does need love and care and is not dishwasher friendly so please avoid harsh detergents, acidic agents and do not use steel wool, scouring pads or toxic dips.
- The glass beads are fragile so please be gentle.
- Hand wash in warm soapy water with a soft sponge or cloth.
Please remember that leaving your Tiffinware to soak first is not recommended.
Dry your purchases immediately after washing with a soft cloth.
Do not let the products drain and dry on their own after washing as this may leave stubborn watermarks.

Silver plate: Store in the pouch provided to avoid tarnishing. Both silver and silver plated items become dull and oxidise when they come into contact with oxygen and pollution in the atmosphere. We advise you to use a silver polishing cloth as the best way to bring the shine back to your Tiffinware items, rather than silver polish which may reduce the life of your silver plated purchase.
Stainless steel: the care is the same as above.
Although stainless steel is dishwasher safe – the glass beads are not!
For more persistent stains use a soft cloth with a branded stainless steel cream, available in most large supermarkets.

Which countries do you deliver to?
We can deliver anywhere, in the world but the charges below are for UK only.

Charges stated on the website are for deliveries to the UK mainland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands. Unless otherwise stated all orders are sent by Royal Mail.

Yes, we can process many items in one order, but multiple addresses are charged separate delivery charges. The delivery charges quoted are limited to 1 address only. If you wish to send your purchases to multiple recipients, please ensure you give us your ‘special instructions’ in the appropriate field at the checkout. If you wish to have your presents gift wrapped please tick the gift wrapping field at checkout. There is a charge of £3.50 per item, for this service. Your gift will be wrapped in handmade paper with turquoise ribbon and a turquoise and silver card with your message attached.

Do you offer a gift wrapping service?
 Yes, we are happy to gift wrap your purchase, and send it directly to the recipient, together with your special message, please tick the gift wrapping field at checkout. There is a charge of £3.50 per item, for this service. Your gift will be wrapped in handmade paper with turquoise ribbon and a turquoise and silver card with your message attached.

Can I send all my family and family presents at Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays and pay in one go for them all?

How can I track my order?

What is your returns policy?
We hope you are delighted with your order, however if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied we will be happy to give you an exchange or refund at your option. Please return your purchase within 7 working days of delivery in its original, unopened, and unused condition. Please refer to our returns and refunds policy for more information.

Is it safe to order online?
100%. We use Paypal for your debit and credit card payment processing.
All transaction information passes between the Tiffinware.com site and Paypal Service. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Paypal cannot be tampered with. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Paypal Service provider can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

What if an item is out of stock?
You will be informed immediately if an item you order is out of stock and we will place the item on backorder for you for delivery with the next consignment.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for out of stock items; often it can be much shorter as items are continually in production.

What if I break a glass bead or lose a part - can I purchase a replacement?
Yes, please email us with your requirement and your order number (if still available) with full details of your purchase and the glass bead colour with the code, if possible.  We will send your bead or part if it is still available. We cannot guarantee the glass beads will be exactly the same colour as the original as these are hand made. Although every attempt is made to keep colours consistent, each lot does differ slightly due to the handmade nature of these products.
We can re-order some parts but cannot guarantee replacements if the item purchased is quite old.
There will be a small charge for this service.

Can I order an extra set of beads?
Yes, you can purchase an extra set of beads. We advise you to purchase the same colour beads at the time of purchase as the colour lots often differ slightly due to the handmade nature of these products. Or should you wish to change the look of your item you can order a set of another colour. Please specify the item you would like your extra beads for and we will supply them accordingly.

Where can you deliver orders?
We can deliver orders anywhere in the world. Please contact us for a quote for a destination outside UK, you can view the overseas delivery charges and information for more details
NB: The import taxes, VAT and any other charges levied will be borne by yourselves and you will only be informed of these costs once the parcel arrives in the country of destination.

How can I tell if I have an original Tiffinware piece?
All original items are stamped or etched with the initials “RC” on the stem of cutlery, or on the base of larger items.

How do I care for my Tiffinware items?
Do not put in the dishwasher.‘Tiffinware’ is not dishwasher friendly.
Avoid harsh detergents, acidic agents, and do not use steel wool, scouring pads, or toxic dips. The glass beads are fragile. Please handle with care.
Hand wash in warm soapy water with a soft sponge and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
Store in the pouch provided to avoid extensive tarnishing (silver and silver plate items become dull and oxidise (chemical reaction) when they come into contact with oxygen in the atmosphere.
When required a silver polishing cloth, widely available, can be used to bring the shine back to your ‘Tiffinware’ items. 

We do not recommend silver polish as this will shorten the life of your silver- plated products.

Overseas delivery charges and information

Packages are shipped via International Royal Mail or by DHL who require a telephone number for the recipient. Failure to provide a telephone number may result in a delay in dispatch. Transit times depend on the destination country and any delays due to local customs formalities.

The cost for overseas delivery depends on the overall weight of the package and the destination country. Any import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods have left us must be borne by the recipient and are outside of our control.
There is no express delivery option for overseas.

Europe Standard Delivery (5 -7 working days)
Once your parcel has arrived in the destination country it will be passed on to the internal postal service if being delivered by International Royal Mail. DHL will deliver directly to you.

Rest of the World Standard Delivery (7 – 10 working days)

What material are your products made from?

All ‘Tiffinware’ items are hand crafted from an alloy of brass and nickel (a white metal, resistant to corrosion), commonly known as ‘German silver’ which is electro-plated with 3 micron silver and offset with glass beads.

Do you charge gift wrapping per item or per delivery of a number of items?

If you purchase multiple items of the same product i.e up to 8 cake forks, being delivered to 1 address, these would be packed into 1 box and charged as one gift packaging at £3.50. Larger items are charged either in pairs i.e a pair of pasta servers or individually i.e a milk jug.

If you are purchasing a number of items to be delivered to one address which you would like gift wrapped we will endeavour to reduce the packaging costs. If you prefer to discuss your requirements please email customerservices@tiffinware.com in advance of placing your order.
